I saw pages about "Koukichi".
I was moved.
I'll write about relations of HPA, Koukichi, and myself.
I hope the research of Koukichi proceeds and more people become to know Koukichi.
Can I help anything?

I'm from Tamano City, Okayama prefecture.
To tell the truth, I have no knowledge about Koukichi before entering to high school.
(I didn't hear about details in high school.)
Though Mr.Koizumi was our teacher.

Entering this university, we decided to make a team trying to take part in Birdman contest.
But no teacher helped us. (We needed money and place.)
When I asked a teacher of the high school for advice on that, he told about Mr.Koizumi.
I called him immediately on the phone, and I learned that a graduate of my high school works as an assistant professor in my Univ.
Our activity started from that, we try hard with the aim of competing in the contest.
(But We are very busy for studying for exams, so we can't do anything.)

Few people knew about Koukichi and I felt lonely, though, I feel very happy now.

I saw the airplane displayed in KAKAMIGAHARA AEROSPACE MUSEUM.
When we can make airplanes as well as that?

We are surprised by his passion again.

At the End of Opening "A romance of paper airplane"

We hope that we can help Mr.Komatsu's thought, "Let's broaden Koukichi's greatness cooperating with many people in the world and appeal to the world."

When we consulted with Mr.Komatsu about this, he agreed to our proposal.
And then we decided to open the English version.
Hattori Takashi, one of the helpers, translated Introduction of Mr.Komatsu and our explanations into English.
MIMA-chan, the father of this homepage, edited pages. Though MIMA-chan stays out of our activities because of his job, Opening English version is also his dream. To make his dream come true, we forced him to edit.
Thanks to you, we are able to open this page, though more than a half-year has passed since Mr.Komatsu agreed our proposal.
on this 9, June, at Japanese vaudeville theater "oedo-nihonbasitei", "The Story of Koukichi" was flown after 214 years in a wonderful tone by female rhythmical humorous story-teller, Ms.Kinou Takarai, Mr.Komatsu works hard as usual. We watched the flight in a video. We were moved by the greatness of her talking techniques and Mr.Kamatsu's great production that satisfied his airplane companions.

Carrying "A romance of paper airplane"

We are very glad at having made a wonderful fortune. We are proud of being able to get Mr.Komatsu's cooperation.

How do you fell about "The Bird-man Koukichi's Story"?

a story of a man who spent his whole life to be a bird, yearning for sky.

We think we don't need to explain why we asked Mr. Komatsu to introduce Koukichi in our Homepage.

We sensed Mr. and Mrs. Komatsu's consideration through the whole story and pictures.
Koukichi's last challenge of his over 50-year-old and pictures of his flights are wonderful.
It is continuously exciting, though I am not Mima chan, one of our team members.
I holed my clattering hands and feet with all my might, though I'm 50 years old.
Are you satisfied with Mr. and Mrs.Komatsu's passion, sharp penetration, and superhuman expressions?
After I've read "A romance of paper airplane", I'm moved by thought of the bird-man Koukichi, and I wondered to myself
Weather I can hold my passion when I am 50 years old.

Many people gave Koukichi their hands in his last flight. And now, my dream is coming true, supported by many people.
I thought it is also a lesson that our dreams never come true not supported by others.
I fully realized I want to pursue my dreams, treasuring helps, holding thanks.

Mr.Komatsu said ,"I learned how important it is to pursue his own dream, throughout the Birdman Koukichi's whole life. I think it is very happy to spread his attitude to more people."
